The Women's Tennis Association will join the men of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) out in the Indian Wells Tournament which will take place starting on March 10^th, officially known as the BNP Paribas Open preceded for the women by the Malaysia Open in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia on February 22^nd and followed later this month with a tournament in Miami, Florida called the Sony Ericsson Open. The Sony Ericsson Open is a Premier Level tournament as is the BNP Paribas Open, and it will be worth a whopping four and a half million dollars to these ladies. The tournament will be played on hard courts outdoors with a singles draw of ninety six and doubles draw of thirty two which makes it one of the largest tournament held throughout the year. So who will lead this pack of women hungry for the championship? Elena Baltacha, ranked sixty fourth in the world is the top seed. This Tasmarine Tanasugarn in the second seed spot.

Third and fourth is Petra Martic and Sandra Zahlavova, ranked 76^th and 85^th in the world respectively, with the fifth seed Arantxa Parra Santonja. The sixth will be Ayumi Morita and then the seventh and eighth seeds are Klara Zakopalova and Kai-Chen Chang. This is a great tournament for these ladies and the chance to win a lot of money starting March 10^th.
