The WTA Tour heads to China for another January tournament to kick off the 2011 season of women's professional tennis, with the Hong Kong Tennis Classic live, which will allow these ladies to warm up for the Australian Open later this month. This tournament takes place at the Victoria Park Tennis Stadium, in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong and it consists of four teams that are from zones of the world, with three players in each team. It works by two teams playing each other in a semi, and holding three singles ties and one doubles tie. Then, the two winners play for first and second, and the losing teams play for third and fourth. Last year, Team Russia took first place with Maria Sharapova, Vera Zvonareva and Yevgeny Kafelnikov with Team Europe, made up of Caroline Wozniacki, Victoria Azarenka and Stefan Edberg, in second place.

This year, Team Americas includes Venus Williams, Melanie Oudin and John McEnroe while Team Asia-Pacific is made up of Li Na, Zheng Jie and Mark Philippoussis.
