The Aegon International Eastborn is a popular tennis tournament which is classified as a Premier Tournament on the WTA Tour. It is played at the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club in Eastbourne, United Kingdom and is scheduled to take place from June 19 to June 25.
This will be the 42nd edition of the tournament which has been won in the past by famous names like Justine Henin, Kim Clijsters and Lindsay Davenport. The current holder is Belinda Bencic who defeated Agnieszka Radwanska in last year's final in three sets. The top seeds at this year's tournament are Agnieszka Radwanska from Poland, Roberta Vinci from Italy, Belinda Bencic from Switzerland, Timea Bacsinszky from Switzerland and Petra Kvitova from Czech Republic. With the likes of Eugenie Bouchard and Barbora Strycova in the way, the early rounds might be tricky but Angieszka Radwanska and Svetlana Kuznetsova should manage to find their way to the quarterfinal. I see Timea Bacsinzky and Madison Keys also clashing in the quarter finals. My predictions for the last two quarter finals are Belinda Bencic vs Karolina Pliskova and Petra Kvitova vs Sara Errani. The top seed should make the semifinals where she can expect a tricky game against Timea Bacsinzky. If Belinda Bencic's has completely overcome her injury, she should make the semifinal where I expect her to play against Petra Kvitova.
I'm tipping the top seed Angieszka Radwanska to face off against defending champion Belinda Bencic in the final. Should both athletes make it, the final should be a very close fought affair. Ultimately I see the top seed bouncing back from her disappointment at the Aegon Birmingham Classic, and going away with this title.

The last WTA Tournament before the Wimbledon kicks off next week, will be played in Eastbourne from tomorrow, and is packed with some of the brightest stars of the tennis world.
The top seed has been given to the 2014 Wimbledon Champion Petra Kvitova, who is the world no. 2, and is coming in the tournament from taking a long break after the French Open, where she reached the fourth round. The second seed was bagged by the Dane Caroline Wozniacki, who has been struggling a bit with her form over the last few tournaments. The French Open runner-up Lucie Safarova will also play in Eastbourne, who has been awarded the third seed. Other players to lookout for are the German Angelique Kerber and the Czech Karolina Pliskova, who are currently competing in the final of the WTA Birmingham, and the winner will reach the top 10. Agnieszka Radwanska, who showed promising signs of getting back in form by reaching the semifinal in WTA Nottingham, will also compete here, along with the Canadian Eugenie Bouchard, who has had a disastrous season so far.
This event is definitely going to be a star studded affair and it will be really interesting to see who comes out on the top.
