The WTA Tour heads to Dubai for the next event on the calender and it will be followed by the XIX Copa BBVA Colsanitas in Bogata, Columbia which starts on the 14^th of February. The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships happens in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, and is a Premier Level tournament on the WTA Tour. This tournament starts on February 14^th and goes until the 20^th. This tournament will be held outdoors and played on hard courts and the prize purse if $2,050,000 with a singles draw of 56 and a doubles draw of 28. Last year, Venus Williams took yet another Dubai tournament with a victory over Victoria Azarenka just like she did the previous year. She was the number three seed at the time.

 

 

The player list for this tournament is impressive to say the least, with many of the top ten women's tennis players in the world competing. Some of those you'll see in competition include number one player Caroline Wozniakci, world number three Vera Zvonareva, Francesca Shiavone, Samantha Stosur, Na Li and Jelena Jankovic from Serbia. The Barclay's Dubai Tennis Championships is a Premier Level tournament on the Women's Tennis Association Tour, played on hard courts outdoors for a total purse of $2,000,000. This tournament follows a few that kicked off the 2010 season for Women's professional tennis, including the Hobart International and Australian Open back in January, and will be followed by the Morgan Keegan Championships in Memphis, Tennessee February 14^th through the 20^th. This is a women's and men's combined event, with the women's dates the aforementioned 14^th through the 20^th of February and the men's February 22^nd through the 27^th. As for the women players, they include every single one of the top ten, including Serena Williams, Dinara Safina, Caroline Wozniacki and fourth ranked Svetlana Kuznetsova as well as Venus Williams, Victoria Azarenka, Elena Dementieva, Jelena Jankovic and Agnieszka Radwanki and tenth ranked in the ATP World Tour List Na Li.

 

 

The men's players include Roger Federer, ranked number one in the world right now, numbers two and three Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, as well as fifth ranked Juan Martin Del Potro, and number six Nikolay Davydenko.
