The Women's Tennis Association will hold the e-Boks Sony Ericsson Open this week, followed by the UNECEF Open in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands starting June 12^th. That tournament is an international level event held outdoors. After that, the WTA Tour Starting on the 13^th of June, Eastbourne, Great Britain is the host for the AEGON International. The e-Boks Sony Ericsson Open is held in Copenhagen, Denmark and is an indoors hard court tournament featuring a prize purse of $220,000 with a singles draw of 32 and a doubles draw of 16. This is an international level tournament and it starts on June 6^th and will complete on June 12^th. This is the second year in the row that the e-Boks Sony Ericsson Open happens in Copenhagan, and last year, Caroline Wozniacki was able to take home the title of the very first event in her home nation, which was her eighth career title. The venue is the Farum Arena.

 

 

Returning champion Caroline Wozniacki is the number one seed for this tournament and then two players from Czech Republic are the second and third seeds, Lucie Safarova and Klara Zakopalova. The fourth seed is Anastasija Sevastova and the fifth and sixth are Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Agnes Azavay. Barbora Zahlavova Strycova and Anna Chakvetadze are the seventh and eighth seeds. This is the first year for the e-Boks Sony Ericsson Open, so there are no previous winners to talk about. Some of the players that are going to be participating in this tournament include Anna Chakvetedze from Russa, Ellen Allgurin, Mai Grage, Johanna Konta and Kim Grajdek and Kathrin Woerle from Germany. Anna-Lena Groenefeld will also be playing as well as Irena Pavlovic from France, Ksenia Lykina, Vitalia Diatchenko and Anne Kremer. Also watch for Emma Laine, Mona Barthel and Elena Bovina as well as Maria Domachowska from Poland.
