On Tuesday, June 26^th, the second day of play for The Championships Wimbledon commences. This is our third Grand Slam tennis event of the year, and the only Grand Slam played on grass courts. All month long, Britain has played host to a number of grass courts events on all tours, to prepare players for this tournament. Now, the first round of the men's singles sees Brazil's Thomaz Belluci and number two seed and Spaniard Rafael Nadal face off at Centre Court of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club at 1:00PM.

Twenty four year old Thomaz Belluci has only played in three Wimbledon Championships in the past. He has entered this year in both the Gentlemen Singles and the Gentlemen doubles competition, with Carsten Ball. He has never made it past the third round in the Singles and never past the first in Doubles. As for Rafael Nadal, this will be his 8^th Wimbledon Championship, and he has won the event twice before, once in 2008 and then more recently two years ago. His best doubles showing was the second round in 2005.
