On the eighth day of The Championships Wimbledon, played at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London, England, and being our sole grass court tournament, and the third Grand Slam of the year, there will be a ladies singles match on Tuesday, July 3^rd at the Centre Court at 12:00PM. These ladies will be playing for the fourth round, and a chance to advance to the semifinals of the event, and they will be joined by a men's singles final between David Ferrer from Spain and Juan Martin del Potro from Argentina.

Serena Williams is the number six seed for Wimbledon and she hails from the United States, having played in no less than thirteen tournaments in the past, having won the singles competition four times, most recently in 2010 and taking the doubles championship four times the most recent in 2009. As for Petra Kvitova, the number four seed and a native of the Czech Republic, she has played in four Wimbledon Championships in the past and her best showing was just last year when she walked away with the title.
