Andy Murray has been in fine form and there is a great chance of him winning his first ever Wimbledon title as he takes on Verdasco in the quarters. He is yet to drop a set despite having come close to losing one against Mikhail Youzhny. Youzhny was 5-2 up in the second set before losing it in the tie-breaker.

That aside he defeated Benjamin Becker, Yen-Hsun Lu and Tommy Robredo quite easily and unless Verdasco can surprise everyone with a dramatic change in the way he plays, it looks highly unlikely he will win the game.

Overall, Murray has an excellent 8-2 head to head against his lower ranked opponent but the pressure of expectations is something Murray will need to look to live up to as he takes on Verdasco, who had earlier not had a great time this year.

Verdasco’s wins in the tournament so far have come against the likes of Xavier Malisse, Julien Benneteau and Ernests Gulbis while in the last round he overcame Kenny de Schepper to make it to the quarters.
