On the second day of play for the French Open, Monday, May 28^th, the number one seeded player will take on unseeded Potito Starace from Italy. Novak Djokovic, who hails from Serbia, will play the Italian at 11:00AM at the Court Philippe Chatrier. There are two men's singles tournaments going on at that court during that time slot. The other features Gilles Simon and Ryan Harrison. Also, Victoria Azarenka plays Aberta Brianti that morning as well.

This will be the eighth French Open for the Serbian Djokovic. He has consistently done very well in the the singles, having made it to the semifinals on three different occasions, once in 2007, once in 2008 and once in 2011. He only made it to the first round when he played the doubles side of it. As for Potito Starace, he has played in seven French Open competitions in the past and made it to the third round in both 2004 and in 2007. In the doubles he has been a quarterfinalist twice, most recently just last year.
