A Davis Cup World Group quarterfinal match happens this week for Sweden and Serbia. It happens July 8^th through the 10^th and the venue is the Halmstad Arena in Halmstad, Sweden. This is the first time that the two nations have met going into a semifinal match. Serbia is the defending champion and they were able to take out India in Novi Sad in the first round. Last year, they took out Croatia 4-1 in the quarters. Sweden made it through to the quarters when they played Russia in Boras. Previously, Sweden faced Serbia as part of Yugoslavia.

The players that will be coming forward for Sweden include Michael Ryderstedt, who is ranked 302, their front man, and Ervin Eleskovic comes next. Also playing for Sweden is Robert Lindstedt and Simon Aspelin. The players that are out front for Serbia are number two ranked Novak Djokovic as well as Viktor Troicki and Janko Tipsarevic. Nenad Zimonjic is also playing. Also this week, World Group quarterfinal matches between the United States and Spain, Germany and France and of course, Argentina and Kazakhstan.
