Davis Cup weekend starting Friday, and there is lots of tennis action going on. Romania's Victor Hanescu will play Swedish tennis player Andreas Vinciguerra in the singles match Friday, as these two nations play the match in Helsingberg, September 18^th to the 20^th. Another singles match will follow after that between Robin Soderling and Victor Crivoi. Sweden's Vinciguerra did well in 2001, second in Wimbledon and the U.S. Open and also in the French Open, while taking fourth in the Australian Open, while Victor Crivoi made it to the 2^nd round of the French Open and Wimbledon this year.

 

 

Victor Hanescu made it to round 2 of the Australian Open and round three of Wimbledon this year while Soderling was in the final of this year's French Open. Saturday, Romanian's Marius Copil and Horia Tecau will play Simon Aspelin and Robert Lindstedt of Sweden and then there is a reverse singles match on Sunday where Hanescu plays Soderling and Crivoi is matched up against Vinciguerra.
