Poland and Belgium will be playing in the Fed Cup World Group II round one match-up this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, February 7^th and 8^th, joining World Group teams and three more match-ups between World Group II teams, Australia taking on Spain, Estonia and Argentina and the Slovak Republic versus China. Well, here are two more teams that have never met on the Fed Cup proving grounds. Poland has spent a lot of time in the lower levels while Belgium is a little more experienced in the top two levels. Poland will host this game, at the Hala Sportowo in Bydgoszcz. Poland has only tasted the quarter-finals so far, having reached them in 1992. They earned their spot in World Group II just last year, after beating Japan. This year's team is led by Tomasz Wiktorowski and features Marta Domachowska, Klaudia Jans, Alicja Rosolska and Agnieszka Radwanska.

Belgium has won a title before, when Kim Clijsters and Justine Henin were part of the team back in 2001. They didn't promote or relegate but kept their place in World Group II by defeating Canada.
