As April 4th approaches, the first round of Davis Cup draws to a close and the Quarterfinal craze begins, guaranteeing each team a spot for the 2015 World Cup.

Japan will be facing Czech Republic from the 4th to the 6th of April, 2014 on hard courts of Ariake Coliseum at the capital, Tokyo. This is the second hosting of Japan for Czech Republic since the year 1935.

Japan has entered the Quarterfinals for the first time by smashing down Canada in the first round. Czech Republic is playing the quarterfinals for the third time, this time by defeating the Netherlands.
