With one win accredited to the record of each country, France and Switzerland meet yet again on the battlefield of Fed Cup Tennis Tournament this February, on the 8th and 9th, for the first round of World Group II matches. Four matches have been scheduled between the two countries.
The matches will be played in the French capital, at the hard indoor courts of Stade Pierre de Coubertin.
This year, the French team has come up strong so far, with scraping off an easy win against Kazakhstan in the play-offs. Switzerland, however, lost to Australia.
The French captain, Amelie Mauresmo, seems to be pretty confident about the team she has put together to compete in the world’s mega tennis event. The world number 25, Cornet, world number 72, Mladenovic, world number 76, Garcia and world number 87, Razzano have been teamed up to form the French line of attack.
Facing these players will be Stefanie Voegele, Bencic, Golubic and Bacsinszky, the Swiss team who has come to the Fed Cup courts with great confidence and determination.
