Fed Cup Group I Live
The Fed Cup will hold tournaments for Group I in the Europe/Africa division, Americas and Asia/Oceania regions from February 2nd to the 5th. Tournaments will starts at 10:00 daily and they will all be played on hard courts. This is the premier woman's professional tennis team event featuring amazing players from different regions all competing for promotion and the Fed Cup title. Pool A will include Switzerland with Christiane Jolissaint as Captain, Great Britain and Micheal Mortensen captaining Denmark. For Pool B, we have Poland with Tomsz Wiktorowski as Captain, as well as Israel and Bulgaria. Luxembourg with Frank Eicher leading the way. Pool C consists of Belarus, Austria, Croatia and Greece, captained by George Kalovelonis. Some of the players in Pool D include Agnes Szavay and Cristina Dinu and the nations represented include Netherlands, Hungary, Romania and Latvia.
Here is how the Fed Cup works. There is a round-robin format with four different pools labeled A, B, C and D with fifteen nations total. The winners from each pool have a playoff and the top two nations will promote to World Group II while the nations that finish last in each pool will play each other to be relegated to Zone Group II. If you want to watch Group I compete as well as the other divisions of the Fed Cup like the World Groups then all you have to do is sign up for your membership and you'll get access to live tennis from your computer.
