The Davis Cup will be playing next week from September 16^th to the 18^th. Chile and Italy will be playing in the Davis Cup playoffs. These two teams have played four games in the past Davis Cup competition and Italy has taken every single one of the. The most recent game was in 1985. Chile ended up losing the USA in the first round of the World Group and therefore were forced into the playoffs, while Italy ended up winning their Europe/Africa Group I final against Slovenia to get into the playoffs this year. Last time Italy was in the World Group was 2000.
