Brazil v Ecuador Live
In the Davis Cup Semifinals this weekend Brazil and Ecuador will play each other, but there are five other Davis Cup Semifinal matches to be aware of. Chile and Austria is one of those, as well as the Netherlands and France. Romania and Sweden will play and The Czech Republic visits Croatia and Israel will travel to Spain. Brazil and Ecuador is the big match were going to talk about. This is the seventh time that these two nations have played each other, and Brazil has the lead 4-2, having won the last two matches. They both began the year in Americas Group 1 with Brazil tromping over Columbia to get to this point and Ecuador beat Peru to earn their ticket. This is the fourth year in a row that Brazil has been able to play in the World Group playoffs, and is hoping to quality for the World Group for the first time since their last qualification in 2003.
Ecuador won America's Group 2 last year and has won five out of five of their last ties. They are through to this stage of the playoffs for the first time since 2005. Ecuador will definitely be looking to qualify for the World Group having only played in the World Group four times in the past, the most recent being eight years ago in 2001.
