This week in the Fed Cup, Belgium takes on Serbia in the World Group first round. It happens February 4^th and 5^th at the Spiroudome in Charleroi, Belgium. This will be the first time that the Belgium and Serbian teams have met in a Fed Cup, but Serbians have competed before as part of Yugoslavia. Belgium and Yugoslavia went head to head two different times, and Belgium was abl eto win both of those times, once in 1975 and once in 1991. The Belgium team has also won the Fed Cup title once before in 2001.

Yanina Wickmayer is on the team for Belgium along with Kristen Flipkens, Tamaryn Hendler and Alison Van Uytvanck. Their team captain is Ann Devries. As for Serbia, they have Jelena Jankovic, Bojana Jovanovski, Aleksandra Krunic and Natalija Kostic and Dejan Vranes will be the team captain for the Serbian team.
