This week in the Davis Cup Argentina takes on Kazakhstan July 7^th through the 9^th in the World Group quarterfinals. The venue is the Parque Roca in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This is the first time that these two nations have met in a tie, and it is the only one rescheduled due to local government elections. Argentina was able to take Romania 4-1 to take their spot in this quarterfinals match, and this is the tenth year in a row that they have been able to make it to that stage of the competition. Kazakhstan took out the semi-finalists from last year, Czech Republic in a tie in Ostrava.

Juan Ignacio is on the team for Argentina as well as Juan Martin del Potro, ranked 20^th and 21^st respectively. David Nalbandian is also on the team for Argentina and Juan Monaco as well. For the Kazakhstan side of the tournament we have 45^th ranked Andrey Golubev, and 61^st ranked Mikhail Kukushkin. Also playing in this tournament for Kazakhstan is Yuriy Schukin and Evgeny Korolev. Also playing in the World Group quarterfinals is Germany and France, as well as a match between Sweden and Serbia and the United States and Spain.
