Rafael Nadal will be facing off against Ryan Sweeting in the second round of the 2011 Australian Open, on Thursday, January 20^th, which takes place at Melbourne Park and is the first of the Grand Slam events of the year. This match will happen at 11:00AM on the men's side of the Rod Laver Arena, where Nadal, who hails from Spain and is the number one seed and his opponent Ryan Sweeting, who is from the United States will join women's singles matches at the Rod Laver Arena between Carla Suarez Navarro and Kim Clijsters and Nadia Petrova and Alicia Molik who are also on the second rounds.

Rafael Nadal is the top seed in this tournament and he has been in the Australian Open six times winning for the last time in 2009.
