Already the fourth day of play for the Australian Open is upon us. The premier event that happens at the beginning of the tennis season – the very first Tennis Grand Slam event of the year, started on Monday, January 14th and now we are at Day Four, Thursday, the 17th of January. The main event is at 7:00PM on Day Four, the match between Swiss tennis star Roger Federer and Russia's Nikolay Davydenko. There is also a women's singles match at this court at 7:00PM between Laura Robson and Petra Kvitova the number eight seed.
Nikolay Davydenko has played eleven times in the Australian Open. He has never made it past the quarter finals, but he has made it that far on several occasions. The most recent of those was in 2010, but he also made it in 2005, 2006 and 2007, three years in a row. As for Roger Federer, he is no stranger to the Australian Open, having played in thirteen of them in the past. He is also no stranger to winning, with a total of four victories under his belt, the most recent in 2010, and then in 2004, 2006 and in 2007 as well.
