On Sunday, January 23^rd we will see two great woman's singles player compete in the Australian Open, professional tennis' first Grand Slam event of the year. Vera Zvonareva and Iveta Benesova will compete in the Hisense Arena at 11am for the fourth round of the event, which happens at Melbourne Park in the city of the same name in Australia. Also, Petra Kvitova and Flavia Pennetta will be playing in the fourth round as well and Milos Raonic and David Ferrer will be competing for the fourth round in the men's singles.

Iveta Benesova, who comes from Czech Republic, has entered in the Open eight times previously playing in the mixed doubles, singles and woman's doubles. Her best performances include the third round in singles in 2006 and in doubles in 2008. Vera Zvonareva is the second seed on the woman's side and she has played eight times prior. She was a semifinalist for both the singles and the doubles, in 2009 and 2005 respectively.
