David Ferrer v Nicolas Almagro Live
On Day Nine of the Australian Open, David Ferrer and Nicolas Almagro will play in the men's singles in the first Grand Slam tennis event of the year. They will be going for quarterfinals dominance, hoping to move onto the semi-finals of this major, and they will be playing at 11:00AM at the Rod Laver Arena, which is the center court for the Australian Open at Melbourne Park. Na Li and Agnieszka Radwanksa will be playing in a quarterfinals match as well along with Ekaterina Makarova and Maria Sharapova.
David Ferrer has played in ten Australian Opens in the past, and the farthest that he has ever gotten was one step beyond where he is now, to the semifinals of the tournament. That was the 2011 Australian Open and in 2005 he made it to the third round of the doubles. He is ranked number five right now. As for Nicolas Almagro, he has played in eight Australian Opens in the past, and his best showing was making it to the fourth round three times, once in 2010, once in 2011 and once in 2012. His best doubles showing was the second round.
