On the 12th day of the Australian Open, Friday, January 25th, the number three seeded player in this competition will go up against the number two seeded player. Andy Murray from Great Britain will be playing Roger Federer from Switzerland. They will be competing in the Australian Open semifinals at the Rod Laver Arena at Melbourne Park, sometime after 7:30PM in this our very first Tennis Grand Slam event of the year. It will be joined by the women's doubles final between two Italian players and two Australian players.

He is currently the third ranked tennis player in the world. He has won 383 matches in his career. As for Roger Federer, he has played in thirteen Australian Opens, with the men's singles seeing him win in 2004, 2006, 2007 and in 2010. He made it to the third round in the doubles in 2003. He is currently ranked at the number two spot.
