Andy Murray v Novak Djokovic Live
On the very last day of the Australian Open, which is on Sunday, January 27th, the Men's Singles final match will be held, between Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic. This match will see these two compete for the Australian Open title. The tournament is held at Melbourne Park and is the first grand slam of the year. These two will compete at the Rod Laver Arena. The women's singles finale was held yesterday, on Saturday, January 26th, with Victoria Azarenka, the number one seed and Na Li from China, battle it out, with the results not yet available at the time of this writing.
Andy Murray has played in seven events in the past, and has been at this stage of the competition twice before, once in 2010 and then two years ago in 2011. He has never made it past the first round in the doubles however. He is currently the number three ranked tennis player in the world. As for Novak Djokovic, he has played before in eight Australian Open events. He was the tournament winner llast year and the year before, and he won one more time in 2008 as well. He has never made it past round one in the doubles either.

The finale of the 2011 Australian Open is upon us for the men's singles and it happens at Melbourne Park. This is Day 14 of the Australian Open, starting from round one, and the two contenders at the end of the competition are Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray. Day Fourteen will be on Sunday, January 30th, and the match will take place on Sunday evening in the Rod Laver Arena.
Andy Murray was seeded fifth in this tournament and nearly didn't make it through the semifinal match between him and David Ferrer on Friday, losing the first set and nearly losing the second. The final score was in Murray's favori however, 4-6 7-6 (7-2) 6-1 7-6 (7-2)and he moves on to face Djokovic in the final of the first Grand Slam event of the year.
As for Novak Djokovic, he got here by first beating Marcel Granollers in round one, and then moving onto round two where he pushed out Ivan Dodig 7-5 6-7(8) 6-0 6-2, In round three it was Viktor Troicki that got trounced and then he beat Nicolas Almagro in round four to move onto the quarterfinals. His opponent for the quarters was Thomas Berdych and Djokovic won out with a score of 6-1, 7-6, 6-1. Finally, he went up against giant Roger Federer in the semis and ended up on top with a sore of 7-6, 7-5 and 6-4.
Right now in progress is the final of the men's doubles competition and the women's singles for the Australian Open. For the men's doubles it will be Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan against Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes and for the ladies it will be Na Li from China again Kim Clijsters from Belgium.
