The ATP Shanghai Rolex Masters is the next tournament scheduled on the ATP World Tour. This is a Masters 1000 tournament, starting on the 9^th of October and ending on the 16^th. It will feature a singles draw of 56 and a doubles draw of 24. This is a hard court tournament held in Shanghai, China and is worth $3,240,000. It will be followed by the ATP 250 level tournament called the IF Stockholm Open, held in Sweden, indoors on hard courts. This event has a singles draw of 28 and a doubles draw of 16. It starts on October 17^th.

 

 

The Shanghai ATP Masters 1000 started in 2009, and the event won the Masters 1000 tournament of the year, which is a player award. Rolex became the title sponsor in 2010. Let's take a look at what is coming up in the ATP Master's Shanghai tournament. This tournament started just last year, and was immediately voted the APT Master's 1000 tournament of the year by the players. Rolex has now become the title sponsor for the tournament in 2010, and the official name is now the Shanghai Rolex Masters. Rafael Nadal headlines the tournament as the top seed, and he joins the top twenty in the ATP rankings. The ATP will hold another Masters 1000 tournament this month and this one is the Shanghai Masters. We know that Federer has bowed out, once again, but there will be plenty of talent on the courts to see. This tournament has a draw of fifty six singles and twenty four doubles.
