The reigning champion is Novak Djokovic who just finished his winning campaign at Indian Wells, capturing his 27th overall Masters title which is of course an all-time record. Despite the deep run last week, the Serbian will clearly be the overwhelming favorite in Miami as well. Roger Federer will return after a relatively short break that was caused by a knee surgery, but he cannot be expected to have a long run. As far as the seeding of the tournament goes, Djokovic will be followed by second seed Andy Murray, the third seed Federer, fourth seed Stan Wawrinka, fifth seed Rafael Nadal, sixth seed Kei Nishikori, seventh seed Tomas Berdych and eighth seed David Ferrer. The Miami Open will have 32 seeds which means most of the top 30 will be there, including players like Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Richard Gasquet, Marin Cilic, the Indian Wells runner up Milos Raonic, Johh Isner, Dominic Thiem, David Goffin or Gael Monfils.
