One of the tournaments to directly precede the Grand Slam event at Roland Garros is the Power Horse World Team Cup on the ATP World Tour, which starts on the 20^th of May in Dusseldorf, Germany. This tournament is worth 800,000 Euros and will be played on clay, and will be joined by the Open de Nice Cote d'Azure, which is the other tournament that precedes the Roland Garros event. The French Open starts on the 27^th and has a giant singles draw of 128 and a doubles draw of 64. All of these tournaments are to be played on clay.

 

 

This tournament has been held since 1978, and is a terrific team competition between competing nations. Last year. Germany won their fifth title in this tournament with Argentina as the runner up. Tomas Berdych will be playing in this tournament along with Janko Tipsarevic. Viktor Troicki and Florian Mayer will be two more names that you might recognize playing in the ATP World Team Championship and Philadelphia Kohlschreiber is also on the list of players along with Radek Stepanek, Andy Roddick and Ivo Karlovic.

The Power Horse World Team Cup will happen in Dusseldorf, Germany and this is a clay court tournament that is worth eight hundred thousand Euros, and starts on May 15^th. This is an ATP 250 level tournament and this tournament will run until the 21^st.
