World Team Championship Live
One of the tournaments to directly precede the Grand Slam event at Roland Garros is the Power Horse World Team Cup on the ATP World Tour, which starts on the 20th of May in Dusseldorf, Germany. This tournament is worth 800,000 Euros and will be played on clay, and will be joined by the Open de Nice Cote d'Azure, which is the other tournament that precedes the Roland Garros event. The French Open starts on the 27th and has a giant singles draw of 128 and a doubles draw of 64. All of these tournaments are to be played on clay.
This tournament has been held since 1978, and is a terrific team competition between competing nations. Last year. Germany won their fifth title in this tournament with Argentina as the runner up. Tomas Berdych will be playing in this tournament along with Janko Tipsarevic. The Power Horse World Team Cup will happen in Dusseldorf, Germany and this is a clay court tournament that is worth eight hundred thousand Euros, and starts on May 15th.
