We just have four more event in November before the end of the 2009 ATP season, not counting the Davis Cup World Group final which is held in December. It has been a great year for ATP Tennis, and we have seen some talent rise and other talent not quite make it to their full potential, counting on next year’s round of events to make up for it. Marat Safin from Russia is finishing out his last season on the ATP World Tour and is hoping to walk away from St. Petersburg with yet another title, what will be his third in the eight times that he has played at this event. He only made it to the semis in 1999, but then came back in 2000 and 20001 and won titles both of those years. Also playing, Richard Gasquet for the first time in this tournament, Igor Andreev, who hasn't played here since 2004, and Victor Hanescu who will be attempting to make it to the final round of an indoors event for the first time.
