The ATP World Tour 250 tournament called the Movistar Open live, and it happens in Santiago, Chile from January 31st 2011 to February 6th. This tournament features the men of the ATP World Tour, 32 of them on the main singles draw and 16 on the doubles draw. This is a clay court tournament and the prize purse is $398,250. It will be followed by the SAP Open, which starts on February 7th in San Jose, California in the United States, a tournament that is worth $531,000 and has a singles draw of 32 and a doubles draw of 16.

The top seed for the Movistar Open in Santiago is Fernando Gonzalez, with the second seed of the tournament Juan Monaco. Then we have seed number three, Thomaz Bellucci and the fourth seed is Pablo Cuevas. The fifth and the sixth seed of the ATP Santiago is Horacio Zeballos and Jose Acasuso and the seventh is Simon Gruel with Potito Starace as the eighth. The Movistar Open will come to you from Santiago, Chile February 1st through the 7th, being played the same week as another Association of Tennis Professionals Tournament, The PBZ Zagreb Indoors. Both of these are ATP 250 tournaments, and the ATP Santiago is a clay court tournament with a singles draw of 32 and a doubles draw of 16. The Movistar Open was previously held in Vina Del Mar, and this is the first year that the tourney has come to you from Santiago. This is also the first time that these men will play tennis on clay this year, and while the Zagreb Open is the first stop in Europe, this tournament is the first of four stops in Latin America. Chile is proud of their tennis and proud of their tennis players as four time titlist Fernando Gonzalez is from here, as well as Nicolas Massu. This will be a terrific tournament to kick off the ATP 2010 Tour.
