The ATP Tour continues this week, with Rotterdam Open being the next tournament on the docket. Being a 500 series event, many prominent players are participating here.
World No. 7 Marin Cilic has been given the top seed, while the eighth ranked Dominic Thiem is the second seed. Both the players have been struggling quite a bit with their form off lately. After an uneventful run in the Australian Open, they played in Montpellier and Sofia respectively. However, both the lads lost in the first round itself. The third seed is the Belgian David Goffin, who is coming in after reaching the final in Sofia Open. Interestingly, he was up against the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov there, who also is playing in Rotterdam as the fifth seed. This massive pool of players is made far more intimidating with the presence of Tomas Berdych. The Czech No. 1 hasn't been in the best of the form in the recent weeks. After crashing out in the third round in Australian Open, this tournament in Rotterdam is his first attempt since then to develop some traction.
Needless to mention, the talent here is immense and this is anyone's tournament to lose. We can expect great matches in early rounds itself, which makes this an intriguing event to follow.

The Rotterdam Open is an indoor hard court tournament on the ATP Tour, held annually in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It belongs to the ATP 500 category, coming with a €1,597,155 total prize money.
The reigning champion is the Swiss Stan Wawrinka who will not compete at this year's tournament. In his absence there will only be one top 10 player in the main draw, the French Richard Gasquet. Although the former two-time Wimbledon semifinalist will be the only top 10 competitor, almost everybody else from the top eight seeded players will come from the top 20. The seeds following Gasquet: world number 13 Marin Cilic, world number 15 Gilles Simon, world number 16 David Goffin, world number 17 Gael Monfils, world number 18 Roberto Bautista Agut, world number 21 Beonit Paire and rounding up the top 8 seeds, world number 25 Viktor Troicki.
All of these players are fairly close to each other regarding their abilities, literally anyone could emerge as the victor, although If Gasquet or Cilic could play close to their best, they could definitely meet in the final.
