The Tennis action is back in Moscow, with the ATP 250 series tournament VTB Kremlin Cup set to be played this week. The top four seeds have been given a direct entry to the second round.
Highest seeded player for the tournament is the Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, who gave the performance of his season recently. He played in the Shanghai Rolex Masters, where he was the runner-up, after defeating Jo Wilfried Tsonga and Novak Djokovic on his way to the finals. The second seed for the tournament is his compatriot Albert Ramos-Vinolas, who lost in the first round in Shanghai. His overall season hasn't been that particularly impressive, with his runner-up feat in Chengdu Open being his best show in the recent weeks. He certainly lacks the consistency, which may spell trouble for him here. Third seed is the German Philipp Kohlschreiber, who last played in ATP Tokyo, where he lost in the first round to Gilles Simon. He is certainly a terrific player in terms of winning the points, but like the rest, his lack of momentum is something which has never helped him move ahead.
Viktor Troicki is another player sailing in the same boat, though he did reach the semifinal in St. Petersburg Open. Agut looks the favourite one to win at the moment, but it can just as easily go any other way.

The Kremlin Cup is an indoor hard court tournament held annually in Moscow, Russia. On the men's side, this year s tournament will be the 26th edition in event history.
2014 US Open winner and defending Kremlin Cup champion Marin Cilic will attend the tourney, no doubt trying to defend his title. His form was questionable for most of the year but he showcased some consistency during the American hard court season and will have a solid chance of finally winning his first 2015 title which would be his 14th overall. The Croat is currently the 14th player in the world and he will be the only top 15 competitor in the main draw. Second seed Roberto Bautista Agut is currently the 23rd player in the world and the other seeds will include world number 24 Viktor Troicki, world number 31 Philipp Kohlschreiber, world number 35 Pablo Cuevas, world number 40 Borna Coric, world number 45 Joao Sousa along with world number 50 Mikhail Kukushkin who will round up the top 8 seeds. Out of these players, Cilic, Troicki and Kohlschreiber showed the most hard court prowess during their careers but with the exception of Coric, all seeds are ATP titlists. Even the young Croat has final experience which makes the outcome of the tournament somewhat of a crapshoot.
That is if Cilic does not show up. If the lanky Grand Slam winner is capable of playing close to his best level, it's highly unlikely that anybody will be able to stop him.
