The ATP World Tour heads to Houston, Texas this week, but also holds another tournament starting on April 4th called the Grand Prix Hassan II, which happens in Casablanca, Morocco on clay courts for 450,000 Euros. The US Men's Clay Court Championship will happen April 4th through the 10th in Houston, Texas in the United States and this clay court tournament is an ATP 250 level event with a prize purse of $442,000 and total financial commitment of $500,000. This tournament has a singles draw of 28 and a doubles draw of 16, and is one of the oldest tournaments on the tour having started in 1910 in Omaha. Since then, the tournament has been moved all across the United States and finally found a home in Houston in 2001, being the only clay court event on the Tour in the United States.

Our top seed for this tournament is Mardy Fish, with Sam Querrey as the second seed. Guillermo Garcia-Lopez is the third and then the fourth seed is last year's winner, Juan Ignacio Chela who beat Sam Querrey in the final in 2010. The fifth and sixth seeds are John Isner and Lleyton Hewitt and James Blake is the seventh. Michael Russell rounds it out as the eighth seed. The ATP World Tour will visit Houston, Texas in the United States, April 5th through the 11th for the tournament known as the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championship, which of course is played on Clay Courts for a purse of $442,500, with a singles draw of 28 and a doubles draw of 16. This tournament actually began in 1910, intended to increase the amount of clay court tournaments in the west, originally hosted in several different cities but finally moving to its home in Houston, Texas in 2001. This tournament is still the only clay court tournament on the tour that is hosted in the United States. Top seed for this event is Fernando Gonzalez from Chile, who has never attended this particular tournament before and hopes for a good showing, and the second seed is 24 year old American player John Isner who will be appearing here for the third time.

Third seed is Sam Querrey , who has a title already this year from Memphis, but has competed in this event twice before, once in 2007 and then again in 2008, but was taken out in the very first round both times. Lleyton Hewitt is fourth seed with other top seeds including Evgeny Korolev, Horacio Zeballos, Eduardo Schwank and Micheal Russel.
