Challenger Zhuhai Live
The 2017 Zhuhai Open will be played this week as a part of the ATP Challenger Tour. Many promising and upcoming players are set to highlight the event.
World No. 99 Evgeny Donskoy is the top seed here, who is coming in after a great run in Dubai. As a qualifier, he made it to the quarterfinal, while defeating Roger Federer in the second round. He is the strongest player as of now in Zhuhai Open and this is his event to lose. Next up, there's Yuichi Sugita of Japan, who has been given the second seed. He has spent his entire season so far on the Challenger circuit, with his highlight being the Yokohama Challenger which he recently won. Challengers are somewhat his forte and he can surely be expected to put up a good show here. The tournament will also feature the 18 year old Duckhee Lee, who is trying to make his mark on the tour. He has been practicing mainly on the Challenger Tour.
Lastly, there's the 31 year old Italian Luca Vanni, the most experienced of all by age. However, his form says otherwise, given that he has been losing in the early round of his last couple of Challenger tournaments.

One of the week's two $50.000 Challenger tourneys, the Zhuhai Challenger is an outdoor hardcourt tournament that will be held in Zhuhai, China.
The 2016 event will be the debuting edition of the tournament and the organizers have managed to bring in some quality players. The top seed will be the Indian Yuki Bhambri who is currently the 111th player in the world. He will be followed by Nikoloz Basilashvili, Jordan Thompson, Thomas Fabbiano, Saketh Myneni, Franko Skugor, Wu Du and Alexander Kudryavtsev. The biggest favorites are the top two seeds, Bhambri and Basilashvili. Both are excellent Challenger level players, winning five and three titles respectively. The other competitors in the main draw are not nearly at this level. The tournament will likely come down to the top seeds and their ability to serve well, which is always crucial on hard courts. Since this year's event will be the very first edition, the player who can get all the way before winning it will write history. That player could be Bhambri or the Georgian Basilashvili, but it will probably come down to one of them.
If not, third seed Thompson could definitely find a way to capture this trophy and win his second career Challenger title.
