The top seed for this tournament is Jan Hajek, ranked 82 in the tour and from Czech Republic. Karol Beck is the second seed hailing from Slovakia and ranked 114th. The third seed for the ATP Challenger Trnava is Rui Machado who is from Portugal while the fourth is Yuri Schukin, ranked 128 and from Kazakhstan. Then we move onto the fifth seed, Stefan Koubek from Austria who is ranked 138th and the sixth is Oscar Hernandez from Spain. The ATP Challenger Trophy is being contested September 19th to the 27th, 2009, and at the Empire Tennis Center in Trnava, Slovakia, and this is going to be one ATP tournament that you don't want to miss. It's worth 64,000 Euros to these players and a lot of bragging rights. Last year the challenger Tour started December 31st and had the last tournament on November 24th. Last year, the ATP Challenger Trophy in Trnava ended on September 22nd and when the quarterfinal round began there was Daniel Koellerer from Austria, Chirstophe Rochus from Belgium and Spain's Daniel Gimeno Traver as well as Davvid Olejnczak of Poland, who all ended in that quarterfinal. Meanwhile those players that went onto the semifinals from there were Jarosol Pospisil and Oleksandr Dolgopolov, from the Czech Republic and Ukraine respectively. These two were left behind in the semis as the winner and runner up went forward.
