World no. 52 Jiri Vesely is the top seeded player for the event, who is coming in his first Challenger event since May. He last played in the Shenzhen Open, where he lost in the quarterfinal to Tomas Berdych. Frenchman Jeremy Chardy is coming in the event as the second seed, who last played in the US Open. Given that the season is approaching its end, Chardy may want to develop some traction here and move on to win some event on the ATP tour. Ricardas Berankis of Lithuania has been awarded the third seed for the tournament. Having won two Challenger events consecutively earlier this year, he certainly has got the fire power to get the third one too. However, given his recent form in the US Open and St. Petersburg Open, he needs to buckle up for this one.
