Challenger Sarajevo Live
Last week on the ATP Challenger Tour, John Millman went to the carpet tournament of Kyoto, Japan and walked away with what will be his second Challenger Tour title of the 2013 season. That tournament was the Shimadzu All Japan Tennis Championship. The runner up was Marco Chuidinelli, and the final score was 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 in favor of Millman. Millman won in Burnie in February as well. This week, we have a tournament in Dallas, Texas for $125,000 on hard courts and then our featured tournament in Sarajevo, Bosnia.
The tournament in Sarajevo is called the BH Telecom Indoors 2013 and it is going to be played on hard court surfaces with a prize purse of 30,000 Euroes. It is in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, played from the 11th of March to the 17th, one of just two ATP Challenger Tour events this week. The top seed playing in this tournament is the 88th ranked Blaz Kavcic. Josselin Ouanna is ranked 139th and is the second seed,and the third and fourth are Dusan Lajovic and Adrian Mannarino. The rest of the top eight are Simon Greul, Dustin Brown, Cedrik Marcel Stebe and Karol Beck.

There are several tournaments happening this week on the ATP Challenger Tour. Our featured tournament is in Sarajevo, Bosnia, and is a 30,000 Euro hard court event, but the tour will also play in Rabat, Morocco and Pinggui China, as well as two large tournaments in Guadalajara, Mexico and Dallas, Texas in the United States. They are worth $100,000 and $125,000 respectively. This tournament's official name is the Sarajevo Open, and it will start on the 10th of March and run through the 18th.
The players that will be participating in the tournament this year include Radu Albot, Josh Goodall, Jamie Baker, Laurynas Grigelis and Mirza Basic, as well as Jan Hernych, Andreas Beck and Jerzey Janowicz. Karol Beck is also participating this year along with Alexander Kudryavtsev, Michael Berrer and Dusan Lajovic. Also, we see Daniel Brands and Dustin Brown as participants. The ATP Challenger Tour heads to three different tournaments this one. One is a clay court tournament that happens in Santiago, Chile and will be for $35,000 and then another in Sarajevo. That tournament is worth 30,000 Euros and is played on hard courts. Also the Tour will go to Kyoto, Japan for a carpet tournament for $35,000. The ATP Challenger Sarajevo live is also known as the BH Telecom Indoors 2011 and it happens March 7th through the 11th, a hard court tournament that is good for 30,000 Euros. The top seed for this tournament is Grigor Dimitrov who hails from Bulgaria and will be facing off against Karol Beck from Slovakia in the first round. Then, the second seed of the tournament is Blaz Kavcic from Slovakia who will be taking on Tomislav Brkic. Then, the third seed for the BH Telecom Indoors 2011 is Nicolas Mahut from France.
Russia's Dmitry Tursunov will be the fourth seed for this event and then Edouard Roger-Vasselin from France is fifth. Andreas Beck is the sixth seed and he hails from Germany, taking on Konstantin Kravchuk from Russia in round one. The seventh and eighth seeds for the ATP Challenger Sarajevo are Conor Niland who dropped out and Grega Zemlja. The tournament will be held from March 6th to the 14th, with the tournament officially called the BH Telecom Indoors, and will be held at the Tennis Club Sporting in Sarajevo, Bosnia with tournament action beginning on the 8th. The Challenger Tour is for up an coming players in the Association of Tennis Professionals, or ATP, to compete and prove that they have what it takes to move onto ATP 250 Tournaments, ATP 500's and ATP Master 1000 events. Number one seed for this event is Karol Beck, from Slovakia, who will be going up against Mirza Basic, who is a wildcard draw in the first round. Second seed is Marsel Ilhan from Turkey and the third seed for the BH Telcom Indoors is Stephane Bohli. Fourth and fifth seeds are Jan Hernych and Kristof Vliegem.
