The 2014 ATP Challenger Tour makes its next stop at the City of San Marino, for a span of seven days, starting from the 4th of August and ending at the 10th of the same month.

The tournament will be played on clay courts for prize money worth 64000 pounds. This is the 27th event of its sort in the City of San Marino.


Marco Cecchinato of Italy ferociously defends his 2013 title as players like Gonzalez of Argentina round him up to win the trophy. Gonzalez entered the tournament on a wild card basis.


Julian Reister and Peter Gojowczyk both represent Germany in the tournament. While Cecchinato defends the trophy, the Italian Bolelli and Volandri also look forward to bringing the cup home once again.


Spain also sends in two players, Daniel Gimeno Traver and Albert Montanes while Krajinovic alone represents Serbia.


The director of the event talked in exuberant tones to the media earlier. ATP Tour has provided tennis a golden opportunity to become the best sport in the world, he said.

With the Draws to begin on the 5th of August and extend to the August 11, 2013, ATP Challenger Tour draws towards the City of San Marino, flanked by its usual air of frenzy and excitement.

On the ATP Challenger Tour this week, an event in San Marino, San Marino that is called the San Marino CEPU Open, happening from the 6th of August to the 12th and played on red clay. This tournament is worth 85,000 Euros. This is one of five tournaments on the ATP Challenger Tour this week. There is another in Pozoblanco, Spain, and then a hard court tournament will be played in Aptos, California in the United States for $100,000. There will also be a clay court event worth 30,000 Euros in Sibiu, Romania this week.

Stafano Galvani from Italy will be the fifth seed, followed by Alessio di Mauro. The seventh seed for this tournament will be Croatia's Nikola Mektic and then Potito Starace will be the number eight seed in San Marino.

The ATP Challenger tournament in San Marino known as the San Marino Cepu Open is August 3rd through the 9th and is played on clay courts for a prize purse of 85,000 Euros. The first match of the first day features Paolo Lorenzi and Martin Alund at Center Court, followed by Tomas Tenconi and Filippo Volandri. Evening matches at Center Court are Pablo Andujar and Potito Starace, and then Andreas Seppi and Gaston Gaudio after that. 32 names make up the roster for the singles draw, while sixteen pairs were created for the doubles.

This ATP Challenger tournament event is held every year at the Centro Tennis Cassa di Risparmio de Fonte dell'Ovo, which may hold the record for the longest name of a venue in professional tennis period. The stadium is located in City of San Marino, in the republic of San Marino which is the oldest sovereign state in the world, located right in the middle of Italy and populated with an estimated 30,000 citizens.
