Challenger San Benedetto Live
This week the ATP Challenger Tour, the tour that is specifically intended for the up and coming tennis stars of tomorrow, the Carisap Tennis Cup will be held in San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy from July 9th through the 15th, played on red clay like all of the other tournaments that are going to be played this week. The biggest one is in Bogota, Colombia, and will be played for $125,000 and then there is another in Scheveningen, The Netherlands, and then an event for 30,000 Euros in Timisoara, Romania played on clay.
The winner of the Carisap Tennis Cup will get a prize of 4300 Euros and 80 points for ranking, while the finalist gets 48 points and 2500 Euros. Semifinalists get 1500 Euros and 29 points. The top seed for this tournament is Andreas Haider Maurer, and Arnau Brugues comes in second. Peter Polansky is the number three seed, followed by Peter Gojowczyk and Gianluca Naso will be the number five seed. Michael Lammer is sixth, and Simon Greul is the seventh. Finally, the number eight seed for this event is Uladzimir Ignatik.

The ATP Challenger Tour will be in several places this week, with tournaments for the up and coming tennis professionals happening all over the world. One of the biggest tournaments of the week is the hard court event for 85,000 Euros in Pozoblanco, Spain. Also, there is a clay court tournament in Sheveningen, Holland and another Clay Court event in Oberstaufen, Germany which will feature of a purse of 30,000 Euros. Also, there is a tournament in San Benedetto, Italy called the Carisap Tennis Cup, held July 4th through the 10th and played on clay courts.
The top seed for this tourney is 70th ranked Carlos Berlocq, with 71st Pere Riba right after him as the second seed, hailing from Spain. The third seed is Filippo Volandri and Maximo Gonzalez is the fourth seed. Fifth and sixth are Diego Junqueira and France's Benoit Paire.
