In Recanati, Italy this week, there is a hard court event for 30,000 Euros that is on the ATP Challenger Tour, the tennis tournament for the up and coming tennis stars of tomorrow. This is one of four hard court events being played this week, out of a total of seven major events on the Challenger Tour. One is going to be played in the United States, in Binghamton, New York and is worth $50,000 and then there is another hard court in Granby, Canada, that is also worth $50,000, and then the tour will also be in Penza, Russia for a hard court event for $50,000.

The official name of this tournament is the Guzzini Challenger, and it happens from the 16^th of July to the 22^nd on supersoft hard courts. The winner gets 80 points and 4300 Euro grand prize, while the finalist will get 2500 Euros and 48 points. Malek Jaziri is the top seed for this event, and is currently ranked at 70^th. Karol Beck is the second seed and Florent Serra is third. The fourth seed is Simone Bolelli and the fifth is Peter Polansky. Sixth is Adrian Menendez Maceiras and then seventh and eighth are Kenny de Schepper and Gianluca Naso.
