Usually when a challenger level tournament exceeds the $100,000 mark in total prize money that makes it a very lucrative event at that level. From this, we can already calculate that with its $120,000 prize, this tourney can bring in some serious second-tier talent each year. This becomes even more obvious when we take a look at the past winners, a list that includes several former ATP titlists. In fact, with the exception of the tournament's very first champion Cyril Saulnier, all following nine champions were either ATP titlists at the time of their victory, or became one later in their careers. This is a feat that surely not many Challenger level events can rival. This year s tournament will be the 11th edition in event history and the organizers were once again able to bring in some premier talent. For starters, last year’s champion, the Ukrainian Sergiy Stakhovsky is coming back trying to defend his title.
