Challenger Mohammedia Live
Having played on outdoor clay, the Morocco Tennis Tour Mohammedia is an annual professional tennis tournament in Mohammedia, Morocco.
With its upcoming second edition, the tourney is one of the youngest Challenger Tournaments on the tour. Accordingly, the prize money (€42,500) is not very significant but enough to lure in some of the better clay court players who don't want to play indoors or on outdoor hard courts during the week. This year, the organizers managed to lure in four high caliber players who fits that profile. One of them will be the reigning champion and world number 61 Pablo Carreno Busta. Outside of him, there will be as many as three other top 100 players in the main draw, second seed and world number 67 Federico Delbonis, world number 88 Damir Dzumhur and world number 89 Marco Cecchinato. Each of these players could find themselves playing in the final. If not them, former top 50 player and six-time career titlist Albert Montanes could definitely win the whole thing.
He is probably the most prolific player in the main draw as far as career accomplishments go, but he is definitely past his peak which is usually crucial in tennis. Therefore, the main favorites for the tournament are Careeno Busta and Delbonis.
