Challenger Meknes Live
The next tournament on the Challenger docket is Morocco Tennis Tour, which will be hosted in Meknes. Let us take a look at some of the players, featuring in the event.
The top seeded player is the young Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena, who who has been playing mainly on the Challenger circuit this season. However, he hasn't been particularly successful there, with the highlights being a couple of runners-up in Bastad challenger and a few semifinal runs. Arthur De Greef is among the newest names to be rising on the circuit. The Belgian has spent his year playing in the Futures events and eventually making his way up. He has been quite impressive, given his most recent feat was the Liberec title in August. The third seed has been awarded to Steve Diez, who has been playing on the ATP circuit too, though he hasn't been able to move past the qualifiers. He last played in Meerbusch Challenger where he lost in the second round.
Other emerging players such as Mohamed Safwat and Yannik Reuter will also play in Meknes this week. While the event may lack in terms of the higher ranked players, the fresh talent it is bringing in is certainly worth following it.

The Morocco Tennis Tour is an annual outdoor clay court tournament held in Meknes, Morocco. The total prize money of the tourney that will hold its eighth edition this year is €42,500.
The defending champion of the event is the Belgian Kimmer Coppejans who won’t try to defend his title. The top seed is the Spaniard Daniel Munoz De La Nava who is already in the quarterfinal and could find himself standing at the top of the podium on Sunday. If he can achieve that, he could be the second Spaniard player who won the Morocco Tennis Tour after 2008 winner Ivan Navarro who defeated Jiri Vanek during that final seven years ago. If not the Spaniard, second seed Facundo Arguello is also someone who could go all the way. The Argentine has already demolished two of his opponents losing a grand total of nine games in the process. If we take another look at the past winners, we can safely conclude that the best champion in tournament victory is the Ukranian Alexandr Dolgopolov who has emerged victorious five years ago, defeating David Marrero in the 2010 final 6-2, 6-7 (6), 6-3.
The Ukrainian has enjoyed an excellent ATP career since, winning two ATP tournaments and getting close to the top 10, so far peaking at the 13th position in January, 2012.
