Challenger Marburg Live
On the ATP Challenger Tour this week, the players will compete on clay in an event in Marburg, Germany. There are only two tournaments being played this week on the Challenger Tour, and they are both clay court events. One is our featured event in Marburg, which has a prize purse of 30,000 Euros and the other is in Milan, Italy. That tournament is also worth 30,000 Euros. Much of the tennis world is in a different place this week, at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, ready to play the grass courts of Wimbledon.
This tournament is called the Marburg Open 2012, and it happens from the 25th of June to the 1st of July on red clay courts. The top seed for this tournament is the 98th ranked Horacio Zeballos who hails from the nation of Argentina. Daniel Gimeno Traver is the number two seed for this event, ranked at 102nd and then we have Jan Hajek in the number three slot. Aljaz Bedene will be the fourth seed for this event, followed by Teymuraz Gabashvili, and Julio Silva will be the sixth seed. Finally, we have Gastao Elias and Andreas Haider Maurer as the last two seeds.
