The Heilbronn Open is a Challenger Tournament that happens in Germany, and the tournament dates are January 23rd through the 30th, 2011, with a prize purse of 85,000 Euros and the court will be hard, with deco turf. This tournament has a singles draw of 32 for the main draw. Andrey Golubev is the top seed for this tournament and he hails from Kazakhstan, facing German player Bastian Knittel, and then the second seed for the tournament is German player Michael Berrer, who will face Yannick Mertens.
The third seed is Tobias Kamke, who is also from Germany, as many of the seeded players in this event. The fourth seed is Rainer Schuettler also from Germany. The 2010 Calendar for the ATP Challenger tournament just began on January 4th where we saw Florian Mayer take the singles trophy in the Neumou tournament. Winners for the doubles were Edouard Roger and Nicolas Devilder. Then we moved onto an outdoor hardcourt tournament in San Paulo, Brazil where Brian Dabul and Sebastian Preito took the doubles and Ricardo Mello was the big winner for the singles side of things. Also, Brian Dabul took the singles in the Salinas, Ecuador Challenger played on January 11th.
This month we also have the Bucaramanga, Columbia tournament being played on the ATP Challenger circuit, on January 25th, as well as one in Honolulu, Hawaii which starts the same day.
