The ATP Challenger Tour will be in Astana, Kazakhstan this week but will also have a tournament in Geneva, Switzerland, with a prize purse of €30,000 and held on clay courts. This tournament is part of the ATP Challenger Series, where the tennis stars of tomorrow can prove that they have what it takes to move on to larger and more prestigious tournaments and more challenging opponents. The Geneva Challenger ATP is going to be held August 21st through the 29th, and it is held at the Drizia-Miremont Tennis Club in Geneva. Last year's winner was Dominik Meffert who beat Benjamin Balleret 6-4, 6-1. The 2008 winner was Kristof Vliegen, beating Yuri Chukin 6-2, 6-1. However Schukin was the 2007 winner. Other winners in the last decade include Jerome Haehnel, Stanislas Wawrinka, Nicolas Thomann and Dennis Van Scheppingen. This year's tournament winner will add to the long line of winners of this tournament.

The highest ranked player competing in this year's IPP Trophy is Paolo Lorenzi, ranked 105th right now. Pablo Andujar is also playing along with Julian Reister, Santiago Ventura and Yuri Shukin. Albert Raos Vinolas is on the roster as well along with Grigor Dimirov, Pavol Cervenak and Laurent Talbot.
