Challenger Furth Live
This week on the ATP Challenger Tour, a tournament in Furth, Germany, called the Franken Challenge. This event will happen June 5th through the 10th and will be played on red clay. There are two other clay court events this week, but the Franken Challenge is the smallest when it comes to the prize purse, which is only 30,000 Euros. One of the biggest tournaments is in Prostejov, Czech Republic, called the Unicredit Czech Open and worth 106,500 Euros. There is also a tournament in Nottingham, Great Britain, and Caltanissetta, Italy.
The top seeded player in this tournament is Sergiy Stakhovsky, who iw ranked at 84th and hails from the Ukraine. Blaz Kavcic is the number two seed and is ranked 99th. The 100th ranked player is our number three seed, Matthias Bachinger, and Daniel Brands comes in at fourth. Fifth and sixth seeds for the Franken Challenge are Simone Bolelli and Joao Sousa, with Andrey Golubev as the seventh and Andreas Haider Maurer as the eighth seed. The winner of this tournament will walk away with 80 points and 4,300 Euros.
