Challenger Fairfield Live
The Fairfield Challenger is set to begin from Monday, which will be played in Fairfield, California. Some of the brightest and upcoming names on the tennis tour will be featuring in the event.
18 year old Frances Tiafoe has been given the top seed, and is deservedly so after his hard work on the tour. The youngster has got a bright future ahead of him. He last reached the quarterfinal in Tiburon Challenger, prior to which he was the semifinalist in Cary. Santiago Giraldo too has been in a good form, who made it past the quarterfinal in both the challengers in Colombia. However, his track record on the American subcontinent hasn't been that great. Tim Smyczek is the third seed here, who was the semifinalist in the Tiburon Challenger. However, with that tournament being his highlight in the recent weeks, it will be interesting to see if he can carry on the same form here too. Lastly, the player that makes this event an exciting one is Darian King, who won was the champion in Tiburon.
He also won the Binghamton Challenger in July, giving him a solid foundation to move on. All the players here appear to be in a decent form. The action here is going to be a thrilling one.

The Fairfield Challenger is an American hard court challenger annually held in Fairfield, California. This year's event will come with a $50,000 total prize money which while not in the upper echelon of Challenger level events, still makes the Fairfield Challenger relatively lucrative.
Having held in North America, the competition regularly brings in quality - albeit not elite - talent. There is only one ATP tournament during this week but considering the fact that it is a Masters Series event, mere mortals cannot really dream about it. For these players (usually between the top 80 and top 200) the Fairfield Challenger offers a quality option. This is obvious from the main draw which includes a top 100 player this year, 27-year-old Tim Smyczek who will be the clear favorite of the tournament. If not him, his second seed compatriot Ryan Harrison could certainly find himself playing for the trophy. The same is true about third seed Dustin Brown and fourth seed Blaz Rola. These players are all multiple-times Challenger champions possessing valuable experience at that level.
While they have never won an ATP event, they are very good players who once in every blue moon can make life miserable even for the top guys. Brown's Wimbledon victory against Rafael Nadal is a perfect example of that.
