Challenger Budapest Live
The ATP Challenger Tour has will continue this week, with WHB Hungarian Open being the next tournament on the docket. The event will be played in Budapest and let us take a look at some of the players, who are participating here.
Top seed has been awarded to the French Pierre Hugues Herbert, who is a prominent doubles player. While he does play as singles too, his best runs have come mainly on the Challenger circuit. His most recent trophy came in the Orleans Challenger, after which however he did fail to qualify for the European Open. The second seed is the Slovak Andrej Martin, who has been playing mainly on the Challenger circuit lately. He was the runner-up in ATP Umag back in July, and has failed to repeat that feat since then consistently. His third seeded Italian counterpart Thomas Fabbiano too has been going through a similar rut. This is his first Challenger event since July, and given that he has been losing out early in the ATP events, he definitely needs the momentum.
Last of the top four seeds is the Frenchman Steve Darcis, who last played in European Open, where he lost in the second round. This tournament is certainly going to be an interesting one.
