The tournament in France this week is called the BNP Paribas Primrose Bordeaux, and it is worth eighty five thousand Euros for these players. The tournament will run from May 7th to the 15th, and it will be held on Red Clay. Jeremy Chardy is the top seed for this event, taking on Eduardo Schwank from Argentina in the first round and then the second seed of the BNP Paribas Primrose Bordeaux is 74th ranked Olivier Rochus, who will be facing Portugal tennis player Rui Machado in the very first round.

The ATP Challenger Tour goes to Bordeaux, France for the BNP Paribas Primrose Bordeaux, which will be held May 10th through the 16th as part of the Association of Tennis Professionals Challenger Tour, which is intended for the tennis stars of tommorow to earn points, prize money and advance on the ATP world ranking list. Last year, the final ended up between Marc Gicquel and mathieu Montcourt with Gicquel winning 3-6, 6-1, 6-4. Before that, in 2008, it was Eduardo Schwank from Argentina, beating Russian Stanislas Wawrinka 6-2, 6-2. The schedule for the tournament has qualifying on Saturday and Sunday, May 8th and 9th, with round one on Monday and Tuesday and then round two played Wednesday and Thursday, May 12th and 13th. The quarterfinals are on Friday, the Semis on Saturday and the final match will be on Sunday, May 16th at 2:00PM local time.

This is the first year the the ATP Challenger Series has been called The ATP Challenger Tour. The tour began in 1978 with 18 initial events. Last year, the ATP Challenger Series had some stars shine bright as the men of tennis competed for a chance to be recognized as the best of the best.
The BNP Paribas Primrose in Bordeaux, France is a tournament on the Challenger Tour that will begin barely hours from now. The tournament will run from May 11th to 17th and is barely in its infancy, 2008 being the first year the tournament was played.
Last year, Argentina's Eduardo Schwank beat Igor Kunitsyn with two sets, both that ended 6-2 for an easy win. In the doubles another pair of Argentinians took the trophy home, with Diego Hartfield and Sergio Roitman winning against Tomasz Bednarek from Poland and Serbia's Dusan Vernic 6-4, 6-4.
The Bordeaux Tournament has a total purse of 85,000 Euros with draw of 32 singles, 32 qualifers and 16 doubles and it is played on clay courts at Villa Primrose in Bordeaux. The official name of the tourney is BNP Paribas Primrose.
Following this tourney in the ATP Challenger Tour is The Buscan, Korea event which has a purse of $75,000, played on hard courts.
